Novatel Confirms Future Release of the MiFi 2372

Novatel has officially confirmed plans to launch the long-rumored MiFi 2372.
The MiFi 2372 will be the first GSM MiFi available in America.
MiFi 2372 users can expect “data speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps downlink and 5.76 Mbps uplink”
No official announcement from any carrier to offer support for the MiFi 2372. There is a lot of speculation that AT&T will be the first American wireless company to include the MiFi 2372 in its product line.

GSM MiFi 2372 Prepared For US Release?

Novatel Wireless recently had another version of the MiFi pass FCC review–the MiFi 2372.
The MiFi 2372 looks to be the first MiFi that will run on GSM networks in America. The device is GSM/WCDMA/GPRS/EDGE compatible and will support the 850/1900Mhz bands.
The two American cellular providers that could offer the MiFi 2372 as part of their product lines are AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile.
A GSM version of the MiFi would allow American consumers the option of not being tethered to either Verizon or Sprint’s CDMA networks.
