Novatel Wireless: $100 Million in MiFi Orders

According to an article in the Union-Tribune, support and demand for the Novatel Wireless MiFi continues to increase.
Some key points made by author Mike Freeman:
- Early adopters have almost unanimously been pleased with the simplicity of the MiFi. Buzz continues to grow around the product.
- Novatel Wireless made the MiFi software development kit available two weeks ago, which will accelerate the development of applications designed to run on the MiFi.
- Most importantly, since Novatel Wireless launched the MiFi a little more than two months ago, the company has had $100 Million in orders for the MiFi hardware.
- AT&T is bound to offer their own version of the MiFi (probably the MiFi 2372).
- With the recent Verizon and Sprint marketing campaigns, MiFi has become a recognizable brand name.
- With solid US support, as well as future expansion into Asian and European markets, Novatel is bound to add more and more MiFi users.

To those who have asked about the recent irregularity in the BuyMiFi Price Updates: I had been either out of town or very busy for the past week and a half, so I had limited time to update the site. I’m hoping to get back to updating every weekday morning, perhaps before 6 a.m.

Novatel Confirms Future Release of the MiFi 2372

Novatel has officially confirmed plans to launch the long-rumored MiFi 2372.
The MiFi 2372 will be the first GSM MiFi available in America.
MiFi 2372 users can expect “data speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps downlink and 5.76 Mbps uplink”
No official announcement from any carrier to offer support for the MiFi 2372. There is a lot of speculation that AT&T will be the first American wireless company to include the MiFi 2372 in its product line.
